Crossings
Office Park
[
Rome, Georgia ]
The project had a unique challenge due to
it’s proximity to rail track, surrounding urban setting
and an odd shaped building lot. 17,000 sq. ft of office space
is provided in a group of three buildings arranged around
landscaped courtyards and on grade parking. The scale and
architectural expression is complementary to the adjoining
single storey residences which have been converted into commercial
spaces. Brick masonry, exposed wood trusses and landscaped
areas make the building blend very harmoniously with the urban
fabric yet giving it a strong physical identity of it’s
own. The circles in the wood truss replicates the rose window
of a church a few blocks away. The project was built in three
phases.
