Joseph D. McGhee Tennis Center comprises
of 8 Tennis courts (which can be increased to 12) and a tennis
center building. The building has locker rooms and shower
facilities for men & women, manager’s office, pro
shop and storage, vending area, general storage, court assignment
area and lounge. Visual control of all the courts is provided
from the court assignment area. Exterior building material
is split rib concrete block and is also expressed in the interior.
Custom designed wood trusses support the wood decking and
roof. Landscaping is used to emphasize the park like setting.
The facility is handicap accessible and ADA compliant. Day
lighting and energy saving systems are used to conserve energy.
